I met Calin during my 2004 trip. He is an honest man, who speaks his mind. He speaks Romanian and English, which is a must for the American traveler. He escorted us to many villages & assisted with all translations. We visited at his home and met his family. Calin is fair & negotiable on his prices and very appreciative of a good tip. September 2005 I traveled to Banat without my husband, I would have been lost without Calin and always felt safe with him. This year I was invited to celebrate his son Sebe’s birthday, see photos below of his lovely wife Monika, son and mother-in-law. They are always hospitable and serve wonderful homemade goodies!
